# Free GEO and AXO audit

> For the complete documentation index, see [llms.txt](https://workpods.ai/llms.txt)

The free [GEO](https://workpods.ai/geo) and [AXO (agent experience optimization)](https://workpods.ai/axo) audit from WorkPods shows how AI answers describe your brand and whether agents can use your site. You give us only your work email and website. An operator checks every finding, the report arrives within 3 working days, and it is yours to keep.

## See what is inside your audit report

Your report covers five areas: GEO answers across six AI engines, Readable site files, Operable tasks, Callable directories and [technical SEO](https://workpods.ai/seo) basics. Each finding comes with its evidence, reviewed by an operator, so your team can see the exact blocker behind every score.

| Audit section | What we check on your domain and category | Measures you see in the report |
|---|---|---|
| 1. GEO answer and citation check | Buyer questions across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews and AI Mode | Named, Cited and Cited instead for each question |
| 2. Readable AXO basics | llms.txt (a short file, proposed at llmstxt.org, telling AI tools what your site covers), Markdown pages, robots.txt and Content-Signal rules, structured data (labels telling machines what a page is), and HTML without JavaScript | Pass, Partial, Fail or Not applicable for each file and page check |
| 3. Operable AXO basics | Key tasks on [agent-ready websites](https://workpods.ai/axo/agent-ready-websites) (find pricing, book a demo, find a contact), form labels and WebMCP markup (an emerging standard for browser-agent tools) | Completed, Reached the confirmation step, Partial or Blocked, with the step where the agent stopped |
| 4. Callable directory check | The official MCP Registry (Model Context Protocol, an open protocol with an official registry), Claude connectors, ChatGPT apps and Google connected apps | Listed or Not listed per directory for your brand and up to five rivals |
| 5. Technical SEO basics | Public crawlability, index signals, duplicate page risks, page speed indicators and JSON-LD structured data | Pass, Partial, Fail or Not applicable on technical checks |

Each measure in the report has one plain definition:

- Named means your brand appears in the AI answer, Cited means your page is a source, and Cited instead names the sources used instead.
- Each AXO check is scored Pass, Partial, Fail or Not applicable. A missing optional file like llms.txt is Not applicable, never a fail, and only a present, broken file gets Fail.
- For Operable tasks, we test 3 to 5 key tasks from your money pages. Each task ends Completed, Reached the confirmation step, Partial or Blocked, recorded with the step where it stopped.
- For Callable platforms, we check the MCP Registry, Claude connectors, ChatGPT apps and Google connected apps. We mark your brand and up to five rivals as Listed or Not listed in each directory.

## Hand each section to your team to fix gaps

Each section maps to an internal owner, so a CMO, head of digital or growth lead can hand out fixes as soon as the report lands. You keep the full report, and you are under no obligation to hire WorkPods.

- Hand the Cited instead list to content and product marketing: writers see which buyer questions your pages miss and which review articles need updated facts.
- Hand the Readable and SEO checks to your web developer: engineers get the URLs where copy hides behind JavaScript or where JSON-LD labels failed.
- Hand the Operable task results to marketing operations: your ops lead sees which form fields lack labels and the step where a task ended Blocked.
- Use the summary in planning: if you want us to draft the patches and retest before and after each fix, see [how WorkPods works](https://workpods.ai/how-it-works).

## Request the audit with only your email and URL

The request form asks for your work email and website, and nothing else: no analytics login, CMS access or server logs. Every check runs against your public pages, the public directories and six AI engines, so your security team has no credentials to approve.

When our browser agent tests tasks on your website, it never submits a form or buys anything. The report follows the same [editorial standards](https://workpods.ai/editorial-standards) as our paid work. When you are ready, [request your free audit](https://workpods.ai/free-audit).

## Questions buyers ask

### What do we need to provide to get the free GEO and AXO audit?

Only your work email and your website, entered on the request form. We do not ask for Google Search Console access, Google Analytics logins, CMS credentials or server logs for the free audit. All initial GEO, AXO and technical SEO checks run against your public website, public registries and the six AI answer engines.

### Is the free audit just an instant automated score?

No. Free tools such as Cloudflare's isitagentready.com check surface signals, and our audit adds an operator's review to the automated checks. The operator confirms your Named, Cited and Cited instead results by hand and checks where agents stop on your site, so the report explains each finding and gives its evidence.

### What is a GEO audit, and how is it different from an SEO audit?

An SEO audit checks whether search crawlers can index your site and how your pages rank, while a GEO audit checks how ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews and AI Mode answer your buyers' questions. Each question is scored Named, Cited or Cited instead, so you can see which rivals and sources take your place.

### Will your browser agent submit fake leads into our demo form during the audit?

No. Our browser agent never submits a form or buys anything when it tests your site. It walks through key tasks from your money pages and scores each one Completed, Reached the confirmation step, Partial or Blocked, noting the step where it stopped. No test lead ever reaches your CRM.

### Can our internal team keep and implement the audit findings ourselves?

Yes. The report is yours to keep whether or not you hire WorkPods. Every Pass, Partial, Fail and Not applicable check is grouped by owner across content, web and marketing operations. Your own team can use the evidence to rewrite pages, fix robots.txt and llms.txt files, and add form labels on their own schedule.

### What happens after we receive the audit report?

Your team can fix the findings in-house, or walk through them with us first. If you work with WorkPods, we draft ready-to-use files, JSON-LD patches, form label fixes and page updates. We log your approval in our approval log and retest before and after each fix.
