Technical SEO services

WorkPods provides technical SEO services as the base under GEO and AXO (agent experience optimization). AI answer engines and browser agents depend on search indexes, clean HTML and structured data (labels telling machines what a page is), so technical SEO still decides what they can find.

01

Keep the search foundation that AI answers draw on

Yes, SEO still matters, because AI answer engines pull from search indexes and structured pages when they decide which brands to cite. AI summaries do reduce clicks from search, but a broken technical base keeps your brand out of organic results and AI answers at the same time.

Three published figures show both sides. Pew Research Center (22 Jul 2025) found that Google users clicked a result on 8% of visits with an AI summary, against 15% without one. Google reported that AI Mode surpassed 1 billion monthly active users (I/O, 19 May 2026). And Ahrefs (2 Mar 2026) found that 37.9% of URLs cited in AI Overviews rank in Google's top 10, while 31% rank outside the top 100.

Fix five SEO problems that block AI visibility

Five technical problems cost you AI citations and agent conversions as well as organic traffic. When machines cannot read, index or trust your key pages, your brand drops off shortlists before a buyer ever reaches your site.

Technical SEO problemWhat happens in plain termsWhat it costs your marketing pipeline
Pages AI tools cannot read without JavaScriptCore product copy, pricing tables or FAQs appear only after browser scripts runAI fetchers and crawlers see a blank template, so answer engines skip your page and agents cannot read your pricing
Important commercial pages not indexedAccidental noindex rules, broken crawl paths or robots.txt blocks keep key pages out of search indexesSearch-grounded AI engines never retrieve those pages when buyers ask category or product questions
Duplicate or conflicting pagesOld campaign pages, regional duplicates or unmerged docs state different product facts or pricesSearch engines split ranking authority across URLs, and AI tools quote outdated or conflicting claims about your offer
Slow mobile and server response timesHeavy scripts and slow server responses delay how quickly pages load for users and botsProspects bounce before converting on mobile, and automated crawlers fetch fewer pages across your domain
Missing or broken structured dataPages lack JSON-LD labels (a standard format for labels telling machines what a page is)Search engines and AI assistants guess your pricing, reviews and company facts instead of reading verified labels

Say your team launches a new enterprise tier, but its pricing table loads through JavaScript and has no JSON-LD labels. Google has trouble indexing the tier, and an AI assistant tells buyers your pricing is unavailable.

03

Deliver ready-to-use patches under your approval

We diagnose your site health from your Google Search Console and Google Analytics data, together with our own crawl, HTML and schema checks. Using your data means each patch is tied to the pages buyers actually find you through, which is also where agent-ready websites work starts.

AI agents run the repetitive checks that flag indexing drops, copy missing from the HTML, broken JSON-LD and slow pages. Operators then prepare the patches: robots.txt and Content-Signal rules, JSON-LD fixes, HTML changes, and an llms.txt file (a short file telling AI tools what you cover). Nothing ships until your team approves it in our approval log, as described on how WorkPods works. For how the three disciplines differ, see our SEO vs GEO vs AXO comparison.

04

How we measure it

We check crawlability, indexing, structured data, speed and your Readable files before and after each fix, alongside your Google Search Console and Google Analytics data. Fixed check statuses, read next to AI answer tracking, show what changed on your site and how the engines responded.

  • Each AXO and technical file check is scored Pass, Partial, Fail or Not applicable. A missing optional file such as llms.txt is Not applicable, never a fail, and only a present, broken file gets Fail.
  • To see how technical fixes feed AI answers across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, we track three measures. Named means your brand appears in the answer, Cited means your page is a source, and Cited instead lists the sources used instead.

We do not guarantee rankings, citations or traffic. To see your current crawl, indexing and structured data issues, start with a free GEO and AXO audit, checked by an operator and delivered within 3 working days.

Questions

Questions buyers ask

Why does technical SEO affect what ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews say about us?

AI answer engines use crawlers and search indexes to find and check facts about your company. Ahrefs (2 Mar 2026) found that 37.9% of URLs cited in AI Overviews rank in Google's top 10. If your pages are blocked from indexing, hide text behind JavaScript or lack JSON-LD labels, search engines and AI tools tend to skip them.

What is structured data, and why do marketing teams need to care about it?

Structured data, usually written as JSON-LD, is a set of standard labels in your HTML that tell machines what a page is. The labels cover your company name, product details, pricing and FAQs. With clear labels, search engines and AI assistants are less likely to misread your offer or confuse your brand with another vendor.

How does JavaScript rendering hurt both SEO and AI agents?

Googlebot can run some JavaScript, but AI crawlers and assistant fetchers generally read only the HTML your server sends. When product descriptions, comparison tables or pricing tiers load only through client-side scripts, those tools miss that copy entirely. Putting core copy in the HTML fixes the problem for search and AI at once.

Which data sources and measures do you use for technical SEO?

We combine your Google Search Console and Google Analytics data with our own crawl, HTML and structured data checks, before and after each fix. Each check is scored Pass, Partial, Fail or Not applicable, and a missing optional file like llms.txt counts as Not applicable. The free audit needs only your work email and website.

Do we need separate agencies for technical SEO, GEO and AXO?

No. WorkPods runs technical SEO, GEO and AXO as one team, so your web and content teams work from a single task list. The same fixes serve all three: clean HTML, robots.txt rules and JSON-LD help Google index your pages, help AI engines cite you, and let browser agents read your site.

Will your agents change our website code or CMS without permission?

No. Our AI agents never push changes to your live site. They run the repetitive health checks and draft first patches, and operators review and edit every deliverable. Your team approves each change in our approval log before release, so you keep sign-off on every technical update.
